报告摘要：

The charmless two body B meson decays all occur through weak interaction. But their theoretical calculations involve strong interaction, especially the non-perturbative dynamics. We review the current theoretical status, especially the factorization assisted topological diagram approach. We extract the non-perturbative decay amplitudes (including strong phases) by fitting the experimental data of branching ratios and CP violation observables, including SU(3) breaking effects. We then predict other decay observables for future experiments. Recently, we also extract the CKM angle gamma with higher precision using these decays.

报告人简介：
   吕才典，中国科学院高能物理研究所研究员。1989年毕业于北京大学物理系。1994年获北京大学物理系理论物理专业博士学位。先后在中科院理论物理研究所、以色列理工大学、德国汉堡大学、日本广岛大学作博士后等研究工作。2000年入选中国科学院百人计划，开始在中国科学院高能物理研究所工作。2006年获得国家基金委杰出青年基金。同时兼任国际专业期刊《The European Physical Journal C》、《Scientific Reports》、《Journal of Physics G》编委以及《Chinese Physics C》副主编。主要从事重味物理和CP破坏的研究发表SCI论文150多篇，多次在国际学术会议上做特邀报告。论文被引用总次数超过5000次。
